Mummy blogger ‘Zen Ten Baby’ gives her glowing account of a BilinguaSing class

Today I had the pleasure of attending BilinguaSing where babies and toddlers can learn a new language (my class was Spanish.)
The class leader Emma was very welcoming and the class today consisted of 5 mother and babies and us. The Church venue is warm and parking is available. The class started off with a welcome in Spanish to each of us and the words were displayed on a wall projector to follow. Props, lights and stickers were used throughout the class duration which added a great sensory element to the experience. My daughter being a toddler was up and about and joined with the clapping and bubbles. It is a perfect way to introduce a new language early on in a non derailing manner if you speak other languages at home. Even British sign language was used along with familiar kids songs which made the class magical for little ones and easy to grasp for adults.

It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon and it truly was both educational and entertaining.
I would 100 per cent reccomend attending and would avoid the misconception that some languages are more beneficial than others for our kids future, as any language is a skill. I have grown up with about 10 languages being spoken and various dialects. Just read the below on how beneficial a language can be, it is an incredible gift we can offer to our kids.…/bilingual-babes-teach-your-child…/

I am happy classes like this exist and I will be taking my tot again. Many thanks Emma!

[su_quote cite="The Royal Borough Observer"] A Popular music and movement baby class is expanding. Baby and toddler programme Baby Loves Spanish has been running since September in Windsor. Parents and young children can learn a new language in an environment which supports child development through music, singing, movement and play. Due to popular demand the classes are expanding. They are due to start running at the community lodge at St Peter’s Church of England Primary School, Minniecroft Road, Burnham, from today (Friday). Founder Ellie Baker, a former Burnham Grammar School languages teacher, said:

“The best time for anyone to learn a new language is while they are still learning their own. This is why people who were exposed to a second language from birth or toddlerhood end up speaking more than one language effortlessly. It’s a real gift to give a second language to our little ones.”

Free taster classes are available. For more information email contact Ellie

BilinguaSing wins First prize award!

Baby Loves Spanish, which runs sessions across Berkshire as part of the BilinguaSing group, won the prize for Modern Foreign Languages at the Practical Preschool Awards in Birmingham on Friday, September 19.

The group is run by Maidenhead resident Ellie Baker, who was delighted to receive her award having only established the business last year.

She said: “I can’t believe we won - the companies that entered included many well-known, long-established brands and we really didn’t expect to win a rosette, never mind the whole Modern Foreign Languages category. Needless to say myself and the team are chuffed to bits and it couldn’t have come at a better time now that we are starting to expand geographically.”

Baby Loves Spanish teaches young children French and Spanish in a fun and interactive way. For more information visit or visit its Facebook page
